DR THOMAS TANG
Dr. Tang obtained his medical degree at the University of New South Wales, Australia in 1996, followed by internship at Westmead Hospital, Sydney. He is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioner and Hong Kong College of Family Physicians.
After returning to Hong Kong, Dr. Tang received training in internal and rehabilitation medicine in government hospitals. He started working as a general practitioner since 2007 and he has diplomas in Child Health, Practical Dermatology and Family Medicine. He is an honorary clinical assistant professor at both the Chinese University of Hong Kong Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care, and Family Medicine at the University of Hong Kong.
In addition to general practice, Dr. Tang also works at the memory clinic of the Jockey Club Centre for Positive Ageing, screening for and looking after patients suffering from dementia.
Recently, Dr. Tang also has an interest in functional and aesthetic medicine. He can perform Botox and Fillers injection, using lasers, radiofrequency and high intensity focused ultrasound to correct age-related skin changes and augment beauty in his clients. He adopts a functional approach to his patients by looking at root causes of symptoms with patients as a whole and devises treatment plans with medicine, supplements and correction of any hormonal imbalances.
